Carina Urbani is 28 years old and was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. She is a graduate student of the University of Ottawa and has received her degree with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinarity Arts with a Minor in English. She also has a background education in culinary, music industry arts, visual arts, and human resources.

One of Carina’s biggest passions in life is travelling and everything that comes along with it! She has always loved the idea of exploring the world since she was a little girl and recently started actively making those dreams come true. She loves learning about new cultures and experiencing their foods, languages, architecture and more.

In the Summer of 2018, she travelled solo around Europe for three months and finally experienced the beautiful cities and cultures within. She visited many cities including London, Paris, Dublin, Marseilles, Chieti, Rome, Florence and much, much more! In 2019, she had the chance to visit the East Coast of Canada and live in Moncton, New Brunswick while she completed the Explore Program; a program that helps full-time Canadian students learn French for free. She hopes to see more of Canada in the coming years! Then in 2023, she had the opportunity to visit South Korea and explore many of the beautiful cities and landmarks throughout the country.

One of Carina’s favourite hobbies, other than travelling, is photography! She loves to post photos on her Instagram (@onegirlandthebigworld) page and share all the beautiful places she has experienced. Carina’s Instagram account is almost like a travel journal that documents all her incredible trips.

Carina’s other passions include singing and maintaining this blog. She hopes to share her knowledge and skills with like-minded travellers.
