Jacobs Inn is a great hostel that has all the amenities that you could need while traveling in Dublin. A perfect home away from home where you are sure to meet lots of new friends to check out the famous bar strip downtown.

Pros:

• 10-15 minute walk from downtown core (Temple Bar Area).
• Amazing kitchen set-up; perfect for making your own meals.
• Friendly staff who will book tours all-around Ireland for you.
• Great simple breakfast every morning.
• Safe neighborhood; even during the late nights out.
• Awesome game room for new friends to hangout.
• Clean and functional bathrooms for guests.

Cons:

• Need to bring your security pass for entry into the hostel late at night.
• Kitchens close for cleaning during lunch time.

As a side note, dorms can sometimes feel closed-off. Although there are individual drapes on beds for amazing privacy, you never truly know how many people are actually in the room. This simply means you never know if you need to be quiet because someone is sleeping or not.
