Overall, Victoria House is a great hostel to stay at while traveling in Genoa! Below you will find a list of pros and cons to staying with this hostel.

Pros:

  • Victoria House is about 5 minutes from Brignole Station. Easy access to trains out of Genoa and metro throughout the city.
  • Free walking tours offered daily.
  • Great breakfast offered everyday! (pie, cereal, deli-meat, tarts, bread, coffee and more)
  • A friendly Atmosphere with fantastic staff.
  • Great living room and dining area! Perfect to relax, play games, watch TV or make new friends.
  • Fully functional kitchen and bathrooms.
  • They will do your laundry for you for €10. Be prepared to wait a few hours as their dryer is not too powerful.
  • Air Conditioning in dorm rooms to allow for a comfortable sleep during Summer.

Cons:

    • Hostel in an apartment building; three separate keys to get to individual rooms.
    • Reception doesn’t open until 8:30 am. Therefore, no way to get €5 deposit for keys in the early morning.
