Try this delicious galaxy-inspired smoothie bowl made with bananas, vanilla yogurt, and fresh fruits for your next homemade breakfast.
Smoothie bowls: 1-2
Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 fresh banana (for decorative stars and blending)
- 1/2 cup milk or milk alternative
- 1/4 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp nut butter of choice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 3-4 blue Spirulina capsules or blue food colouring
- Fruit (optional topping)
- Coconut flakes (optional topping)
How to Make the Galaxy Smoothie Bowl
- Cut half of the banana into star shapes for topping. Aim for half inch (1 cm) thickness.
- In a blender, combine frozen bananas, blueberries, leftover fresh banana, nut butter, maple syrup, milk, and 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt.
- Blend until smooth and place in serving bowl.
- In an additional small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of yogurt with 3-4 blue spirulina capsules or 3-4 drops of food colouring. Mix thoroughly until blended.
- Swirl in the dark blue spirulina yogurt and the remaining white yogurt into the main smoothie bowl until desired pattern forms.
- Sprinkle coconut flakes on top of the bowl.
- Decorate with desired fruit and banana stars.
- (Optional) Add a small splash of white yogurt in a fun pattern for brightness.
- Serve and enjoy.

Galaxy Smoothie – So, I wanted something different for breakfast this morning. I was searching on the net and low a behold came across this fun recipe/yummy. I tried it and loved it! It has my seal of approval. Mind you it didn’t come out as good as the picture, but it was fun! Yay 😁
