Perfect Summer Lemonade

Serving: 12 servings

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice (approx. 8-12 lemons)
  • 4 to 6 cups cold water (to dilute)
  • 1 whole lemon

Simple Syrup:

  • 2 cups white, granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water (for the simple syrup)

How to make Lemonade:

Simple Syrup

  1. Place sugar and water in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer on medium heat.
  2. Make sure that the sugar completely dissolves before removing it from the heat.
  3. Set aside.

Juice the lemons

  1. juice 8-12 fresh lemons into a juice container or pitcher.
  2. Recommend using a lemon squeezer. Make sure that the butt of the lemon is facing upwards and then press.

Assemble the Lemonade

  1. Combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and the water into a serving pitcher.
  2. Add an additional 4-6 cups of cold water depending on your preference. The more water you add the less sweet it will taste.
  3. Recommend adding slightly less water as you can serve later with ice cubes that will further dilute the lemonade.
  4. Cut up your whole lemon into think slices and add it into the pitcher for added colour and brightness.
  5. Feel free to add in other fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, and/or blackberries. (optional)
