Delicious Tuna Patties

Serving: 6-8 medium size cakes

Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna (well-drained)
  • 3/4 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp fresh or dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon or lime juice
  • 1/2 cup green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

How to Make Tuna Patties:

  1. Start by draining both cans of tuna and placing it in a large bowl.
  2. In the same bowl, combine all other ingredients until well blended with a spoon.
  3. You can then lightly bread the patties in bread crumbs, but this is optional and not necessary.
  4. Heat up you frying pan or griddle to medium heat and add about 1 tbsp of olive oil to the pan.
  5. Once heated, form your patties and place them onto the nicely oiled pan.
  6. Fry each patty until golden brown on each side. This can take up to 10 minutes.
  7. Place all patties on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb any additional oil.
  8. Finally, serve your patties and enjoy in a sandwich or as a side to your meal. Enjoy!
