Dalgona coffee is a whipped, frothy iced coffee drink made with instant coffee, sugar, water, and milk. Also referred to as “whipped coffee”, “frothy coffee”, or “fluffy coffee”. Occasionally, it is topped with coffee powder, matcha powder, cocoa, crumbled biscuits, or honey.

Time: 5-10 minutes

Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp instant coffee
• 2 tbsp granulated sugar
• 2 tbsp of boiled water
• ½ cup ice
• 1 cup of milk or milk alternative
• cocoa powder or matcha powder for garnish (optional)

How to Make Dalgona Coffee:

1. In medium size bowl combine the instant coffee and sugar.
2. Then, immediately add the hot water and whisk on medium-high speed until soft peaks are reached (2 to 4 minutes).
3. If you do not have a mixer, whisk by hand for about 10 minutes.
4. In a tall glass or mug, pour the milk over the ice.
5. Next, use a rubber spatula or spoon to scoop the coffee cream over the milk.
6. Finish by garnishing with a dusting of cocoa powder or matcha powder. Feel free to experiment with other garnishes.
7. Serve immediately. Recommend using a spoon or straw to drink.
